Born in Mobile, Alabama and raised near Seattle, Washington, I grew up surrounded by diversity — different cultures, perspectives, and ways of being. That exposure shaped me in beautiful ways.

When I later returned to the South, I experienced culture shock in a way I hadn’t expected. Suddenly, I was seen as “different.” Judged for how I walked, talked, expressed myself — simply for being me.

There were moments when my confidence wavered.
Do I shrink to fit in?
Or do I stay Selena — unapologetically?

I chose me.

Not without struggle. Not without private tears. But I chose authenticity over approval.

That decision led me deeper into wellness, self-work, and radical self-acceptance. I realized something powerful: I am not the “standard.” And that’s perfectly fine by me.

Because true fulfillment isn’t found in money or material things. It’s found in loving yourself fully. In refusing to let anyone dim your light. In understanding that your difference is your power.

2Tymez was born from that realization.

For as long as I can remember, there has always been “Selena.” But there’s also another side — bold, free-spirited, expressive. The version of me that moves confidently, dances freely, speaks truth, and embraces being “too much” for some.

That’s 2Tymez.

It wasn’t until I stepped into community — my Fit & Boujee tribe — that this vision became clear. Community changes everything. Growth accelerates in rooms where you’re seen, supported, and celebrated.
